The two charts reveal the striking changes in college students' taking their jobs. As is shown in the charts, the number of graduates who continue to study is growing steadily; the number of graduates who take jobs irrelevant to their majors rises from 7% in 1997 to 30% in 2007, while the number of graduates who hold jobs in their majors decreases dramatically from 89% in 1997 to 58% in 2007.

Furthermore, some colleges and universities fail to gear their curricula to the development of economy, so some courses are outdated，irrelevant and impractical.

Based on the above analysis, we can conclude that college students should try to meet the needs of the job market if they want to find a suitable job.
