1. sleeplessness/insomnia 失眠

今天要讲的第三个习惯用语是to raise the roof。Raise是一个动词，意思是把什么东西抬高;roof就是房子的屋顶。To raise the roof它的意思是：一个人很生气地大声抱怨;他的声音之大简直可以把房子的屋顶都抬了起来。这当然是夸大的说法。但是to raise the roof这个习惯用语可以说明一个人有多么的生气。
