　　I would like to talk about a picnic at last weekend. As you know, the weather is always rainy and windy in this season, which makes a good picnic weekend worth talking.

　　I live in Delft and there is a small forest park near my house. My neighbors are a young couple and their lovely three-year-old daughter. They are quite friendly, and we are getting along very well and becoming good friends. We were thinking of a picnic nearby our place for quite some time already. Fortunately, the weather was quite OK last weekend and we just decided to spend one afternoon outside. The preparation didn’t cost too much time and we bought most stuff in the supermarket, like salad, sandwiches, drinks and so forth.

　　My neighbors want to take their daughter with them and it is not too far away from our house. Therefore, we decided to walk to the park. On our way to the forest park, we found a good spot with river running in the front of the grass. We also saw some ducks swimming in the river, and their daughter Elisa became quite excited and laughed like an angle. How could we turn an angle down! We took the picnic blanket out and spread it on the grass. Then we put all food and drinks on it, and sat around the blanket. The two men, my neighbor’s husband and my husband, began to talk about football stuff, and my neighbor and I started to play with her daughter. The lovely kid, the sun shining and the sparkling water make the afternoon so enjoyable!

　　Of course we would not forget about the food. The sandwiches made by my neighbors were quite delicious and we really enjoyed it. It was a very nice and relaxing afternoon. If the weather allows, I want to do it more often.
