　　Ladies and gentlemen, I have the honour to speak on behavior of my schoolmates at farewell party for Ms White.Ms White came to work in our school from Australian in Sep 2000.In the past three years, she has always beenkind, patient, and strict with our study. She made her class so lively interesting that the lessons she taught are not easily forgotten. Each of us enjoyed her lessons very much. Thanks to her hard work,we have made rapid progress in English, especially in speaking abilities. Mrs White is leaving us for home soon. Now please allow us to express our thanks to her successful work and wish a good health and a pleasant journey.

　　This term our school has offered more than ten optional courses from which students can choose. The courses are given from 4:00 to 5:30 every Thursday afternoon. Students take great interest in optional courses. Their favourites are computers, spoken English, arts and so on . They say they have learned a lot that is not taught in text books and they got a great deal of practice. However, students are not quite satisfied. They hope that more optional courses will be offered or the homework would be less. They suggested more trips and visitsshould be organized so that they can learn more about what's going on outside school.

　　It is generally believed that there is a good supply of fresh water. But to our disappointment, the fact is just the opposite.

　　As we can see, the world population is growing rapidly day by day. So enough fresh water is needed to feed such a big population. What’s more, with the development of industry, factories and vehicles produce poisonous gases or wastes, which consequently results in the pollution of water. Though fresh, a good amount of it can no longer be used. Only quite limited fresh water resource is available to human beings. So it’s high time for us human beings to take quick action to protect water resource. Stop pollution and save water, otherwise, we cannot survive on the earth.

　　With fresh water, the world will be prosperous.
