电话术语
Call: vt. n. 打电话
Give somebody a call: 给某人打电话
I’ll give you a call as soon as I get back to my company. 我一回到公司就给你打电话。
Make a call: 打电话
We have to make 30 follow-up calls a day. 我们一天要打30个跟进电话。
Call somebody: 给某人打电话
Call me if you want to go shopping. 如果想去购物，就给我打电话。
Call somebody back: 给某人回电
He promised to call me back, and he never did, bastard. 他许诺说会给我回电，却一直没打过来，这个混蛋。
Answer the phone: 接电话

Leave a message: 留言

The line is busy/engaged: 电话占线
Hang up the phone: 挂断电话。
Hold on (the phone): 别挂断电话
Hold on, don’t hang up the phone, I’ll see if Mr. Tony is at his desk. 别挂断，我看看托尼先生在不在他的办公桌那。
Extension number：分机号
Could you connect me to Mr. Tony, the extension number is 020. 能帮我转到托尼先生吗?分机号是020。
Answering machine: 自动留言机
I left a message on her answering machine. 我在她的电话答录机上留了言。
Reach somebody at…通过某号码联系到某人(at后放电话号码)
You can reach me at 12345678, or by my mobile phone. 你可以打电话12345678联系到我，或打我手机也行。
My phone is dead. It’s auto power off. 我手机没电了，自动关机了。
Over the phone: 电话里谈
I’ll let you know my final decision next Monday over the phone. 我下个星期电话通知你我的最后决定.
