A man stopped his car at the door of a flower shop. He planned to order flowers and ask ed the shopkeeper to deliver (递送) them to his mother, who was far away in the man’s hometown.

Think back to a time in your life when you tried something new.
When I was a teenager, I volunteered to pass out water at a local race. I was so excited to see all the different runners, they passed by and quickly took a cup of water. Some ran past, some walked past and a few wheeled past.
I saw so many types of people doing it. I thought maybe I could do it too! The next year I decided to run for the race, but I had a little running practice. I just wanted to finish.
On the day of the race, it was terribly hot. After running for about 5 miles, I was thinking, “ Why did I do this?” And at one moment, I said to myself, “I am never doing this again!”
That first 10 km race was quite an experience. I ran slowly, I walked, I ran slowly and walked. At times , I didn’t know I could finish.

Do you like traditional Chinese paper-cutting? Ding Xiang, a student at Nongsishi Middle School in Xinjiang, is really good at it. At the eighth National Excellent Talents Competition last month in Beijing, the 15-year-old girl got the gold award (金奖) for her paper-cutting skills.

The film Alice Through the Looking Glass is on. Millions of people go to cinemas to see it. The little girl Alice, with long hair of gold, is alive in people’s mind again after the film Alice in Wonderland was shown in 2010.
