Reading news has become a part of daily life of modern people. In my opinion, due to 2 main reasons, news media become increasingly important in modern society. In addition, I believe that news media has generally positive effects on society.
I consider news media plays a key role in modern society based on two reasons. Firstly, we live in the information era, that means our work and life are influenced by a great deal of information. News media is a useful tool for people to collect the important and newest information in order to be adjusted the information society. As for the other reason, there is a closer connection between modern people’s daily life and overseas news, as well as domestic new because of the development of globalization. Obviously, many people do not have enough opportunities to go abroad or visit other parts of their own country for collecting information by themselves. However, this problem can be tackled by news media, which allows people to learn what things happened all over the world recently just through TV, newspaper or Internet.
In terms of the advantages of news media, enormous information provided by it is able to guide the development of companies. For instance, if an enterprise plans to invest in a foreign country, the policy news about the investment of this country would enable managers of this company to avoid some risks. Apart from that, news media is also beneficial to society supervision. Lots of problems exist in our society, some of them can not be realized by individuals and authorities. Once these problems are exposed by news media, public and relevant government departments will pay attention to them and try to take actions to solve them.
On the other hand, news media also has drawbacks. For example, unreality news report will mislead and make panic to public. Nevertheless, these drawbacks are not too many and can be solved by instituting regulations and so on.
To sum up, news media is more vital in current society because of certain reasons. Although there also are some disadvantages about news media, the benefits are much more.

The way we live today is significantly different from the way our forefathers lived fifty or sixty years ago. Thanks to modern technology, today we have got just about every amenity we need to live a comfortable life. Some people believe that modern technology has made our lives more complicated. They are of the opinion that we should learn to do away with it. Is that possible? Let’s examine.
Modern technology might have made our lives more complicated, but one has got to admit that it has improved our lives in several other ways. For example, cars and buses have made commuting easier. Electricity has literally brightened our lives. Air conditioning has made summer months tolerable. Cell phones and internet make it possible to stay connected wherever we are. Home appliances are a boon for homemakers. Technology has also considerably improved our productivity.
On the flip side, technology has made our lives complicated too. There is no escaping from the always-on connectivity. Before the advent of cellphones and internet, taking a break was a whole lot easier. People just had to pack their bags and go to the place they like to unwind. Now that cellphone terminals are available in virtually every part of the world, people can never escape from their work or problems. Even when they are on a family vacation, few people can resist the temptation to check their work email. This need to stay constantly connected has only made our lives more stressful. Modern technology has also made us physically inactive and prone to develop several lifestyle diseases.
Does that mean that we should do without modern technology? Well, it is not as easy as it sounds. Technology is addictive. It is not easy to live without the technological innovations we are used to enjoying. Can anybody now think of a world where we don’t have access to electricity or telephone? The truth is that we can’t.
After analyzing the situation it is felt that though modern technology has made our lives more complicated, it is not something that we can do without. What we need to do is to use it responsibly.
三、罪犯重复犯罪
Ex-criminals are committing crime after released from prison. I think there are various reasons which make them involve again in crime and solutions to solve this issue.
In prison, criminal meet other hard-core criminals who makes them more violent and learn other ways to do crime by joining inmates of the prison. After released from prison they are abandoned by the society that induces them to do again illegal activity. Due to mentally ill, egoism, inferiority complex, rage makes prisoners to commit again offence. Drug addicted criminal after releasing from prison involve again in drug which induce them in burglaries, accident and murder. Jail warden torture the prisoners as they are stress buster which turn them sadist and after release they will show their anger to other person.
Some of the solution to ex-criminals to be better human beings are they should be given proper counseling and rehabilitation. Involve them in community service which is a type of humiliation and is a part of educate them. Giving vocational training and job opportunities after releasing from jail makes them more responsible and avoids them to do felony. They must be monitored and supported by the government for better living. Drug addicted prisoners should be detoxified and given periodical counseling to relieve from drugs. Government should initiate scientific research on criminal behaviors and proper treatment to change their attitude and deeds.
In a nutshell, criminals are human being they have to be treated for their psychological illness and behavior patterns. Rehabilitation and community service makes them proper living being. Education and job opportunity is a solution for preventing ex-criminals to do offense.
