I would like to learn a sign language if I got the chance and time.
I speak Chinese and some English. I've often thought it would be useful if I'd learned sign language as a child since we are usually going slightly deaf when advancing into a ripe old age. Learning a signed language "to help disabled people" is a very patronizing attitude, and I don’t want to do it that way. I have a good deaf friend, who is cool and I like him. So for me maybe, learn a signed language just because I like the guy who uses it and I want to understand more people like him too.
A sign language is not too hard. I’ve seen a guide book about it and it’s full of fun.
But I know the best way to learn a sign language is simply practice and get out be around fluent sign language user. That’s the only amazing way to truly learn any language. So to get started I’m planning to find a class with deaf instructor, and after they introduce me to the basics. I will try learn everything in the communication with my friend.
I deeply thank him to once fully immerse me in a deaf culture, which is an eye-opening experience for me. They are optimistic and friendly, sometimes sensitive. I think the best way to go about it is to have respect for their culture and way of life. Many don't like to be called handicapped or hearing impaired.

除此之外还可以把语言和国家联系到一起，喜欢学这门语言是因为喜欢这个国家，如果和国家联系到一起可以说的内容就非常之多了，例如这个国家的 文化 ( film, literature , comics, cartoon, habit, way of thinking 等等); 还可以从这个国家的饮食(mouth-watering/tasty food) 来说 , 日本的sushi, 法国的 snails, frog legs; 另外还可以谈到你想去国家的旅游目的地 “travel destination/ tourist attraction“, 法国的 “Eiffel tower”, 日本的 “mount Fuji”.

A skill I would like to learn would be English. I would like the lessons to be in mY, home and the lessons would be on face-to-face communication skills. I would like teacher to just let me speak, bringing up topics which are interesting. I hope he could work on my pronunciation of individual words and sentences.
Also, I need a tutor who would force me to learn many words and expressions in English. Perhaps give me a test in each class. I hope he would also have made special textbooks for me to study. I would like this tutor to be strict, but I don't want the tutor to discourage me, so I hope that he's skilled at the art of encouragement and motivation.
This skill is so obviously important to me because it means everything to my career, and there's no doubt that being fluent would make my opportunities grow. Besides that, I would feel satisfaction being fluent in English, almost as if I had reached heaven.

学美式英语好还是英式英语好?
口音方面没有个人偏好的话，英语口语的英美音无所谓。可能美音圆润柔软一些，英音刻板棱角一些。如果想尽善尽美还是选择一种刻意模仿练习一下，如果只是日常交流使用是没有压力的，都可以听懂。
单词拼写上只有少数不同，建议列个表，碰见了就多留心记一下。在写作中虽然混合使用一般不会算"错误"(有些专业考试则会)，但挑出来看会觉得略不专业，嗯，印象。
口语交流，这个应该是差异比较大的部分，英式英语和美式英语在选词组句方面都有挺大区别，如果想要成为优秀的英语使用者最好能够两种都能够理解意思，至于你自己倾向使用哪种则是个人喜好，没有好与不好的说法。

如果你不做主持人什么的，什么口音问题都不大。中国有多少人的普通话发音能达到新闻联播主持人的水准呢?在英国美国也是一样的，真正发音标准的native speaker也是极少数。以美国为例，中西部地区的口音被认为是标准美音的基础，你若是去东部、南部，还是很容易听出当地特色的口音的。更何况，美国移民这么多，大家的英文发音都五花八门的。我说中文都有家乡口音呢，说英文有口音更是再正常不过。
