英文简历制作注意事项
1、明确你要寻求的是不是这个职位。只有你明白这个职位做什么,你要寻求这个职位才能突出你的经历。第一轮英文简历的筛选基本上是比较固定的。如果你不符合一些明确的标准,只有1/3左右的公司会给予机会。
2、英文简历的格式和外表这重要性远远超过人们预料。一份好的英文简历不仅有主题突出的经历,而且有特点的包装和格式是吸引注用人单位人事经理的主要方面之一。如果使用各种字体格式,如斜体、大写、下划线、首字突出、首行缩进或尖头等等方式,有重点有节奏地表达思想。有些求职者以为另类的英文简历会让人耳目一新,所以往往追求新、厅奇的特色。除非是你寻求的职位有些别样,最好是在简洁、醒目上下功夫,不要过于花哨,否则适得其反。
3、尽可能只有一页A4纸,最多不超过2页。A4纸是当前大多数公司使用的文件纸张,具有一定亲和力和正式感觉。千万不要使用A4以下的纸张,除非你明确知道这个公司的文件是以A4以下如B5纸张为常用文件用纸,否则给人以小气、寒酸和局促之感。1.4分钟的时间充其量也只是人事经理会扫视你的英文简历。一份优秀的英文简历也就是在这一页纸主题鲜明的表达给用人单位,用人单位的人事经理也就是通过1.4分钟,然后用几秒钟最多30钞的第一影响决定是否给你下一个机会。因此写得越多,并不代表出你的优秀。
4、强调出你适合这个职位的成功经验和经历。如果你应聘的是一个行政人员,你最好不要过多地说你能做一个合格的销售人员。如果你寻求的是一个具有决策影响力的职位,你不要用可能、也许这样的词汇出现在英文简历上,因为这样只是让人感到你不是一个果断的人。针对不同的用人单位和不同职位,表现形式不同。比如外企更重视英语和学校名声,中国公司看重专业和户口。对于越是热门的公司,其往往对在校成绩更关注。实战中,建议制作不同的英文简历来突出不同的要点。
