新托福写作的提分方法
认真审题
一些学生反映，在做题的时候太着急以至于扫了一眼题目就开始写。写完之后再看一下题目，发现自己理解错了。这是多么大的损失!留下30秒的读题时间就不会出现这样的问题。况且，托福的作文题目中不会出现生僻的字眼，所以很少会出现读不懂题的情况。只要你认真读题了，审题这一关就没有问题。
精心安排文章结构
考生要抓住美国人的思维，这样才能以不变应万变。托福写作通常是一个五段三点式的写作，通常我们也叫鱼骨头(Fish Bone)式：开头段+论述段+结尾段。新托福写作考查的也就是考生是否会熟练运用这样的结构去表达自己对一个问题的看法。所以我们看到题目的时候要马上构思确定自己的观点，不管同意哪方都没关系，重要的是能够马上确定自己的观点，搜集脑海中的支撑。这一思维也体现在综合写作中，综合写作的模式性也比较强。阅读和听力都是对应的，即三三相反式。掌握了美国人的这种出题思维，拿高分的可能性就比较大。
手法要有一定的创造性
在这一定要记住：词汇和句式需要一定的复杂性，但并不是越复杂越好。比如对于词汇来讲，关键是表达准确。在我们的读过的很多满分范文中，有的并没有用很多大词，只是它用的符合语境。就句式而言，当然出现一些复杂多变的句式是好的，但也没有必要一味追求复杂。重要的就是表达准确。
例如：I have heard many wonderful things about such cosmopolitan cities as Paris, London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong and I would love to visit these cities to check them out. 如下修改更符合语言表达：I have heard many good compliments about such cosmopolitan cities as Paris, London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. I am eager to verify these cities myself.
注重格式的美观性
在考试的时候不管是标点还是段落格式都要注意。美观的段落格式让阅卷老师看的比较舒服。
在这注意两条：1.正确的空格格式为：每两词之间，每一标点符号与下一词之间，空一格。2.每一段顶格书写，段与段之间使用回车键空一行，这样在考试的时候比较节省时间。
提高写作速度
注意新托福机考的特殊性，iBT是网考，所以在答题的时候一定要注意你的Typing的speed, format 以及accuracy.独立写作部分只有30分钟，除去你的审题，分析，以及检查的时间，也就还剩22-25分钟的写作时间，所以一定要把握好时间，提高打字的速度。
认真检查
最后一般留出1-3分钟的检查时间。主要包括句法，时态，拼写。一些笔误以及小的语法错误，5分作文是允许有Minor的，但是如果多了，肯定会影响你的分数。
新托福写作考试必备能力
第一：文章结构最重要。
托福写作通常是一个五段三点式的写作，通常我们也叫鱼骨头(FishBone)式。这样的结构就是最为普遍的议论文结构，开头段+中间三段+结尾段。
千万不要小看这样的结构，以为这样的结构过于简单，过于八股。其实，新托福写作考查的也就是考生是否会熟练运用这样的结构去表达自己对一个观点的看法。美国的高中生会专门用一年的时间来学习这样的结构。所以在准备托福写作的时候，应该特别注意要熟练运用五段三点式这样的结构。
第二：语言需要有一定程度上的多样性。
语言多样性分为句式的多样性和词汇的多样性。新托福考试说到底，还是在考查学生的语言能力。文章结构就是一个人的骨架，那么剩下来的工作就是需要往这具空空的骨架中添加进生动的血肉，这就是我们的语言了。
新托福写作考试对于考生的语言水平最基本的要求是没有太多的语法错误，也就是考生所犯的语法错误不会影响到文章的理解。在这个基础上，新托福考试还要求学生会熟练运用一些句式、词汇，使文章看起来很native。
句式的多样性是很容易通过老师的指导在短时间内得到迅速的提升的，但是词汇的多样性却要在很大程度上依靠考生自己平时自身的积累，光靠老师的总结是远远不够的，再好的老师也永远不可能把所有的词汇总结出来。
对于想要在写作部分取得高分的考生而言的(所谓的高分就是写作部分得到25分以上)就必须下工夫去提高自己语言多样性上的修养，对于普通的考生而言，只需要适当运用就可。
第三：需要考生有一定的英语语法基础。
语法一直是中国英语教育的核心，对于中国学生来讲一般不是太大的困难。而且新托福写作对于学生的语法要求不会很高，在懂得主谓宾正常的构句规则的基础上，加上对各种从句以及几个特殊句式(强调句、倒装句)的运用，就足以应付托福写作。
很多基础相对来说薄弱的考生经常会遇到的困境是：对英语的语法产生恐惧，因为不写不错，一写就错。这部分考生克服这个困难的办法是：多去动笔写，写完了让老师或者是身边英语比较好的同学帮忙改，弄懂每一个语法错误是为什么道理，切不可消极怠工，意志沉沦。
